Our Strategy

PASAC was founded in 1996 by Franz Groihs and Roland Hametner to enable the international marketing of Copyrights and Phonorights of HITfabrik Music Publishing Agency and the various sub-labels. Until now PASAC operated in Europe and America with its main focus on the German speaking countries and the European Union.

2001 Stefan Strasser was appointed to continue the work of Mr. Hametner in sales and marketing. The future strategy of PASAC will be to expand our area of activity significantly by entering the Japanese market.

Franz Groihs

Franz Groihs, the owner of HITfabrik, gathered his musical experience during 8 years of classical piano education, 4 years of classical singing education, as a keyboarder for various Vienniese rock bands and as a studio musician. Numerous other activities, like composing soundtracks for TV and radio, sound engineering and the organization of uncountable live events complete Mr. Groihs' detailed experience.

In 1985, he founded HITfabrik as a professional 24 track studio. In 1992, he founded Edition GRORAT and Music Productions GRORAT, together with the video- and movie-producer Arnold Johannes Ratheiser.

The continuous insight in up to date music business is ensured through Franz Groihs' appointment into the German Rock Musicians Union, his membership in the Union of Austrian Phonoright Administrators (VOP), in the Union of Independent Record Companies (VUT), and his position as a founding member of the International Council of Producers Organizations (ICPO).

Together with Roland Hametner, he founded PASAC, as an internationally operating rights-distributor, in September 1996.

Stefan Strasser

Stefan Strasser joined HITfabrik in 1994, when he made his first music-business traineeship. Consecutively he worked as a freelancer in the various fields of publishing, marketing and studio-engineering. Besides that he gathered experience in foreign trade and international marketing as an export manager for a famous Austrian wine estate. He enjoyed 6 years of classical piano education, 2 years of guitar education among others at the American Institute of Music in Vienna and regularly performs as a guitarist and vocalist in Vienna.
